Did You Know...Utilising Visualisation to Minimise HarmEnVizTec was previously engaged with a high-profile company in the aluminium industry to produce simulated 3D training content in a potentially hazardous work environment. Employees were traditionally trained in a classroom environment, then on-site with a "Buddy" to experience operations and maintenance first-hand. Typically this process took around 4 - 6 weeks before employees are considered competent. EnVizTec was tasked with creating a lifelike 3D interactive training module which was so visually engaging that it would retain the attention of all employees. It would have to demonstrate the consequences of incorrect procedures without exposing personnel to the operational risks. Another benefit was to capture corporate IP ensuring that future training programs benefit from experienced operator knowledge long after they have left the company.
